Yakushiyu is a public bathhouse equipped with open-air baths and sauna, where visitors can enjoy pure hot spring water. The transparent, smooth water lathers well, speeds up the metabolism and draws out waste products from the skin. That’s why this mild water is called the Hot Springs of Beauty. In addition to open-air baths, it also provides privately reserved baths for people who need special care, a lounge and a parking lot for 50 cars. Visitors to Yakushiyu can enjoy a stroll as well as cooking a local specialty “Arayu-eggs (eggs boiled in Arayu),” and other events.
